What Is A Liquid Facelift

A liquid facelift is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that adds volume to the face. In less than an hour, your wrinkles will have filled in and your skin will look more refreshed and youthful.  It also restores your natural contours giving you a rested and energized appearance. As we age, our skin begins to sag both in the eyelids and lower areas of the face. Some may also experience discoloration and loss of suppleness. By the age of 30, collagen production decreases dramatically and it shows on our skin. A liquid facelift can slow the signs of aging and stimulate the production of new collagen helping us look younger longer. 

What Is A Liquid Facelift? 

While it has facelift in the name, a liquid facelift is not the same as a surgical facelift and won't give you the same results. Liquid facelifts also have no effect on the neck. This procedure is best suited for men and women in their late 20's to early '50s as a preventative method for aging and facial rejuvenation. Each product serves a different purpose and will give you longer-lasting results when combined. The fillers give you a tighter appearance with most patients noticing immediate results.

Obviously, since no scalpel is used, a liquid facelift is non-invasive and requires little to no downtime. Juvederm Ultra Plus is primarily used to fill in deeper wrinkles. Juvederm Voluma creates volume in the cheek area and can last up to 2 years. Radiesse fills in moderate wrinkles known as marionette or smile lines and helps stimulate new collagen production. 

You're likely a good candidate for a liquid facelift if you are just starting to notice a loss of volume or the beginning stages of sagginess to your face. Liquid facelifts are performed without anesthesia in your physician's office. Results vary from person to person and you may need maintenance every 6-12 months. Typically the cost for a liquid facelift ranges from $1,500-$5,000.

Sagging Jowl Cosmetic Procedures

The picture above is shocking, and it's me. The first picture is the day I had two syringes of Juvederm Voluma XC. I did not look like this before going into the Medspa :-).  After the filler my face was so swollen and bloated I covered my lower face with my sweatshirt the entire drive home. I was told this was completely normal and results would show within two weeks. I even googled it afterwards and saw pictures of other girls with the same results after injection so I was relieved. The second picture is me after 13 days and I was thrilled with the results. I had slight drooping with age in the lower face area but nothing major. No one could notice it unless I pointed it out, but I noticed it.  While it's shocking right after the injections, I recommend Juvederm Voluma XC for the jowl area.
