At 50 years old, actress and comedian Mo'Nique lost over 100 pounds. Weighing 300 pounds at her highest, she now weighs an astonishing 198 lbs. On her Instagram story, Mo'Nique said "Since I was 17 years old, I've always weighed 200 pounds. Today was the first time in my adult life that I've been under 200 pounds." She shot down rumors that she had gastric bypass surgery, crediting her results to good old-fashioned hard work. She didn't use meal services or the advice of weight-loss gurus. She did it on her own with healthy eating, regular exercise, and accountability. Mo'Nique went on to say to TV One "I had to do it for my husband and my children and get out of my own way. Those moments when you feel like you can't go any further and you can!" She also stated "You can eat and still drop this weight. It's called raw food. It's called dancing your pounds off. It's called giving yourself a chance to live the best life you can live."
Her diet is simple and consists of:
* Avoiding fried and processed foods
* No red meat
* Drinking one gallon of water a day
* Consuming fresh fish, vegetables, and raw fruits
