I recently had Juvederm Voluma XC performed and wanted to share my experience. I've had Juvederm Voluma twice before in the past but this was the first time I tried Voluma XC. Juvederm Voluma only lasts up to 6 months and mine seemed to disappear so much quicker. After turning 40, I started noticing more droopiness to my cheeks. I naturally have high cheekbones so this was making me feel self-conscious. I decided to take my Medspa up on their current deal and booked Juvederm Voluma XC with my botox appointment. You need two syringes when using cheek filler according to most, and I certainly have always used two. The cost varies from spa to spa and city to city, but mine was $950 per syringe in California. I was a little hesitant to spend $1900 on my cheeks, but they told me it lasts up to 2 years so I felt better. I get regular botox, so it's not painful for me at all, it feels the same. She numbed my cheeks with a little lidocaine and began injecting high up on my cheek bones. I could feel it filling in and was getting excited for my results. My cheeks were sore for about 3-4 days but nothing terrible. It's been one month since I've had Juvederm Voluma XC cheek filler, and I'm on the fence about doing it again. Below is a before and after photo (sorry for the filter on the before photo). As you can see in the before I had somewhat cheekbones already. In the after photo, I can see a difference but I'm not convinced it's worth $2,000.
