What Is A Deep Plane Lower Facelift

Image
(Credit: Instagram @Sonjatmorgan) The latest plastic surgery craze by far is the lower facelift procedure. Check out Sonja Morgan from the Real Housewives of New York's amazing results. During the latest episode, fans speculated on what she had done as she appeared looking fresh and 10 years younger during her interviews. Sonja took to her Instagram page where she stated: "There’s been speculation around my fresh new look. I got a lower facelift and neck lift after wrapping Season 12. I just wanted to be rid of the wrinkling on my neck and the jowels that were starting to form. People thought I was nuts because it was so subtle. But not to me! It was a no-brainer – gravity had taken its toll, I was also exhausted and I needed a “pick me up”. I entrusted my face to the best  @drjacono  and he hit it out of the park. He uses a method called deep plane which goes under the muscle so your skin is still attached. Your blood flows and your face stays vibrant and heals fast." Wh

Airsculpt Before And After

Image
In June I had Airsculpt performed on my stomach. It was a 360 procedure so it included my upper and lower abdomen as well as my lower back. The total cost was $10,000 and it claims to be a permanent procedure. The downside is they tell you it can take up to 6 months to see the final results. So far I'm only at 6 weeks but I'm pretty happy with the results so far (see pictures below). Here's what happened during my experience with Airsculpt.  The first thing they do is of course weigh you and check your vitals. The nurse explained to me how it works and what would happen during the procedure. The dr. came in, answered my questions and then began to mark up my stomach area. He assured me that the love handles would be gone but I would still have a little bit of a pot belly. I was fine with that as my love handles were a big issue for me. It's important to understand the difference between visceral fat and subcutaneous fat. I will do a post on this later today. Liposuction

How To Drink Alcohol And Still Lose Weight

Image
Most of us want to be healthy without sacrificing having a good time. I've tried more fad diets than I can count without ever sacrificing alcohol. You can, however pack on the pounds if you over-do-it with both alcohol and food. For many people, alcohol stimulates the appetite causing them to overeat and make poor dietary choices. For me, it has the opposite effect and tends to make me feel full and decreases my appetite. My problem is the next morning when I want to nosh on all things fat and grease to satisfy my stomach. The problem with alcohol while trying to lose weight is two-fold. First, you have the extra empty calories that do nothing but create toxins in the body. One small shot of vodka is around 70 calories, while a margarita can pack in close to an extra 400 calories. When you consume an alcoholic beverage, your liver goes on alert and focuses on burning off the alcohol first. Whatever you ate before, during or after consuming alcohol, gets put on the back burner and

The Difference Between Net Carbs and Total Carbs On Keto

I started a low-carb diet again after my Airsculpt procedure because it's the only successful way for me to lose weight. I think a lot of people that have had lipo can attest that you start to fear you're going to gain it back and waste all that money. I personally, am more afraid of gaining the weight in other areas like my upper body that won't look very flattering. During the first 6 weeks where I was couch-ridden I ate a lot and mostly unhealthy. Now that I feel back to my normal self, I wanted to start low-carb to kickstart my metabolism and lose so weight I recently gained pretty quickly. When I googled some delicious keto-friendly cookie bars I was excited when it said "only 4g net carbs." Then I read the back of the label and it said 21g total carbs, wait what? On my low-carb diet I can consume no more than 35g of carbs per day. So I wanted to find out what was fact. Does this count as 4 grams? Or 21 grams? That's a huge difference for me and this on
