Jessica Simpson Lost 100 Pounds Without The Gym

After baby number three was born, Jessica Simpson, 39, admitted to tipping the scales at 240 lbs. She became motivated and determined to start living a healthier lifestyle and stripping away the added weight. With the help of her longtime trainer Harley Pasternak, Jessica Simpson lost 100 pounds without the gym. Like most mothers in Jessica's shoes, it was difficult for her because she had given birth three times in just 10 years. With the help of Pasternak, Jessica was able to shed 100 lbs in 6 months without having to enter a gym right away by following a holistic approach.

Jess was never a fan of radical or fad diets she had to do in the past. No one could forget her amazing figure in the movie Dukes of Hazzard where she showed a physique she had never achieved before. However, that was a grueling diet and workout regimen that is close to impossible to maintain. For years now, Jessica has been a strong advocate for stepping her way into weight loss. All it takes is a Fitbit or step tracker to motivate you and record your daily steps. Wearing my Fitbit every day helps me hold myself accountable and makes it easier for me to hit my goal of 10,000 steps. On average, you can burn up to 500 calories per day for every 10,000 steps. If you didn't change your diet or activity level other than that, you would still lose 1 lb per week.

Jessica was able to work out on her own time by making sure she got her daily steps in, getting enough sleep, removing herself from technology for an hour, and following a healthy diet.  Prior to baby, Jessica was walking at least 12,000 steps a day. After baby, she started off slowly with 6,000 and built back up to her regular routine. Jessica follows Harley's Body Reset Diet that consists of three meals and two snacks per day. It begins with three phases where she typically drinks fruit and vegetable smoothies during phase one for five days. During phase two she drinks two smoothies a day and one meal that contains fiber, protein and fat. For phase three, she'll drink one smoothie and two meals that contain a healthy balance of fiber, protein and fat. Jessica sticks to a plant-based diet low in calories but doesn't deprive herself. While she doesn't cheat on her diet weekly like most people, she has no problem indulging on date nights or other special occasions.

The last step in her weight loss process was hitting the gym for short 45 minute workouts, three days a week. Her goals aren't to overwork herself in the gym, just use it as means for getting tight and toned. Jessica holds herself accountable every night by emailing Pasternak proof that she hit her goals for the day.
