JLo's Diet and Fitness Routine for Hustler's Movie

Jennifer Lopez just turned 50 years old today July 24th, and she's never looked better. The woman who ages backwards stuck to a serious and disciplined workout and diet regimen to prepare for her upcoming role in the movie Hustlers. I can't remember the last time JLo didn't have six pack abs, but in this film they're noticeably more svelte. Her personal trainer Dodd Romero shared with OprahMag.com her exact diet and workout routine. Lopez typically works out five times per week depending on her schedule, and works one body part per day.

The JLo Abs Workout (she does not rest in between sets)

Set 1:

50 incline sit-ups holding a 45lb plate
50 hanging ab raises
50 rope crunches

Set 2:

She repeats the exercises in set 1 and lowers her sets to 35 reps.

Set 3:

Repeats set 1 lowering her sets to 21 reps.

JLo's Lower Body Workout

Her lower body workouts are constantly changing. However, Dodd shared with Oprahmag.com that her leg day would consist of one of the following:

5 sets of single leg dumbbell sumo squats into hanging leg raises
5 sets dumbbell lunges
5 sets weighted leg presses into calf raises
5 sets weighted hip thrusts into calf raises
5 sets seated leg extensions into weighted lying leg curls

Jennifer doesn't seem to go heavy on her arms, and her trainer David Kirsch has her do variations of the Spiderman push-up on a bosu ball. This is an advanced total upper body workout.

The JLo Hustler's Diet

Since this hardcore workout routine is no joke, Jennifer's body must be fueled all day with high-quality protein and plant-based organic vegetables and nuts. She avoids processed foods at all costs and focuses on lean white meat, grass-fed beef, eggs, and salmon. Her snack of choice are a handful of almonds or walnuts. It might sound hard to believe, but she does allow herself a treat once a week other than sugar-free Jello or protein pancakes topped with sugar-free syrup. Jennifer has also long proven she's much more disciplined than most of us by never drinking alcohol or caffeine.
